新冠爆发以来我们有一年多没有出门旅行了。

今天和Mr Chatty 俩人憧憬了一下想要去旅游的地方。

我说真的好想去太平洋的某些岛屿转转。

这下说到他的心坎上了。

他两眼放光说：

That's my idea of heaven!

那是我心目中的天堂！

他接着说：

Say the word "Pacific" and a vision of beaches and blue seas immediately springs to my mind.

一提起 "太平洋 "，我脑海中立刻呈现出沙滩和蔚蓝色的大海。

既然他聊到了他心目中的天堂，我也好想分享一下我的。

我说如果每天能够吃到鸡爪子、猪蹄子、鸭脖子，对我来说就是天堂。

他一脸厌恶地（还记得pet aversion吗？）看着我说：

That's my idea of hell!

我不知道其他英国人，反正我们这一家子是真的接受不了这些对他们来说奇奇怪怪的东西。

不过也好，我吃的时候没人跟我抢！

  一提到葡萄牙，许多画面就会跃入脑海：港口，法多，铜，迷人的村庄和友好的人们。

注：还可以作为否定句来用。当别人问你建议或者问题的时候，你如果没有想法或答案，就可以回复说：

• Mmm, nothing springs to mind.

  呃，我想不出来。

【引申】

“spring”这个单词除了我们常见的：春天、弹簧、泉等意思之外，它还有“突然出现，涌现”的意思。

  "你从哪里冒出来的？-我都没有看到你进来！"

另，" spring to mind"和"come to mind"是完全相同的意思，可以互换。

【小插曲】

我问我的Mr Silly，"spring to mind"和"come to mind"这俩哪个用的最多。他说别人用"spring to mind"比较多，他的话，好像没怎么用过呢。后来我跟他的daddy聊天，说了这事。他爸比回复我说: I don't think very much springs to his mind. 够我笑半天的了，Lol。

我个人偏向"spring to mind"，因为"spring"这个单词比"come"要生动多了。How do you think?
